Renata Valliulina, better known by her social media alias Renata Ri, a Russian TikToker and model, recently took to her TikTok account, riwww, and made an apologetic video in light of her current incident.
Renata Ri began her explanation by adding that she felt compelled to create an English-language video in order to clarify her situation and avoid any misunderstanding.
The model read from notes that had been translated into English for her so that she wouldn’t “say anything wrong or forget anything.”
Renata Ri’s Statement of Remorse
Ri admitted to seeing the “passing around” viral video and insisted that she “didn’t say the n-word” or embarrass the black community, as the charges allege.
Ri previously described the English translation of her Russian interview as “incorrect” in a clarifying post. In a recent video, she got around this by noting that the viral video accusing her of being a racist was taken “out of context,” and that “not that the translation itself was bad.”
“Sorry for what I say and there is no reason for it,” Ri stated near the end of the video. “I was being quite sarcastic in this interview,” she said, “and I didn’t mean to harm anyone’s feelings.”
Ri went on to say in her apologies,
I should not have spoken this, and I accept responsibility for my actions. I apologize to everyone I may have offended. I know how it feels to be ostracized because of my ethnicity, and I would never discriminate against anyone.
She also mentioned being bullied as a child in Russia, citing homophobia and racism as the primary reasons she chose to “escape” to the United States from her homeland.
Renata Ri- Other Dissensions
Ri’s already contentious Russian interview has sparked another more dispute, according to Instagram fan accounts. Ri can be seen speaking controversially in a new video doing the rounds on the internet.
Ri explains an incident to the show’s host in the popular video, which includes English translations. The TikTok celebrity made a reference to an unknown person and remarked,
My underwear is a lot more costly than yours, but that doesn’t mean I have to flaunt it. She was also really overweight. “If I were you, I wouldn’t reveal my body either,” I said.
“That’s fat shaming,” the host added, instantly noting Ri’s statements with a straight face.
Ri is also being chastised for cultural appropriation after photos of her donning ethnic clothing went viral. Ri can be seen in one photo wearing a modified version of a traditional Chinese outfit. Similarly, a photo of her donning traditional Native American headdress sparked uproar.
Ri may be seen commenting about her age and the debate around cultural appropriation near the end of her apologetic video. She began her answer by claiming that she is 18 years old and marveling at “why people think I am 23.”
She went on to say that she wasn’t “taught on cultural appropriation” in Russia’s educational system.
Furthermore, Ri stated,
My buddies are now taunting me about it because I have no idea what it is. Again, I apologize if I offended anyone by wearing this; it was not my aim. I am aware that I have made mistakes in my life and I sincerely regret them.
The young model has also been accused of flaunting her nudity and provoking American internet star Vinnie Hacker in the past.
