In his own words, he had matured in the relationship and realized the importance of knowing and loving himself. He claimed that he always stated his desires and then listened to Haddish as well. Rather than expecting an answer, the Chicago native said he listens to Haddish’s feelings and attempts to understand her point of view.
Common also revealed what he admires about the actress from the film Girls Trip, claiming that they bring out the best in each other. Furthermore, he stated that they made each other feel better. Common revealed he cherished living with Haddish and expressed his thanks for the experience, adding to the legends of their romantic bliss.

Haddish and Common met on the set of the crime film The Kitchen in 2019 and began their happy relationship.
The 41-year-old portrayed Ruby O’Carroll, while the latter played Gary Silvers, who happened to be her love interest. The couple, on the other hand, did not immediately carry their love from the screen to real life.
They grew to be buddies. So much so that when Haddish received an invitation from Bumble to assist frontline workers and children in the midst of the pandemic, she enlisted Common’s support. The two collaborated as a team and learned more about one another. And then, on April 22, 2020, Common sent her flowers and invited her to join him for an official Bumble date.
After then, things quickly got out of hand. The two began living together, with Common appearing on her Instagram Live as a guest.
Finally, in August 2020, Haddish revealed their connection when speaking with Steve-O on his Wild Ride show. Common is the Los Angeles native’s first celebrity lover, and she claims it is her best relationship to date.
