After the birth of his first child, Lil Durk took his career seriously
Lil grew up in Englewood, Chicago, and hoped to be like his father, Dontay Banks, and make money as a basketball player or on the streets. At the age of seventeen, he discovered his third career choice as a rapper and made his debut with the mixtape “I’ ma Hitta” via social media platforms such as My Space and YouTube.
