Tavia Shackles Hunt was born to David Shackles and Ramona Lakin on August 1, 1971, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, United States. In terms of her early education, she graduated from Lee’s Summit High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri Extension.
