They claim that multitasking is a sign of a mother’s traits. This appears to be true for ESPN host and correspondent Shannon Spake. For those who don’t know anything about her, let us start with the fact that she is the mother of not one, but two children.
Shannon Spake is a sports broadcasting underdog. She has had less on-screen time, particularly on national television. However, when it comes to community programs, she has been the face of athletics, hosting the majority of college football and basketball games.
Shannon Spake’s responsibilities at Fox include not only interviewing and reporting on NASCAR but also questioning notable figures in American basketball. She has worked as a reporter and journalist in a variety of industries, including Nickelodeon and MTV.
Relationship Status
She is married to Jerry Mcsorley, the love of her life. The newswoman and her husband had a very typical love tale.
In 2004, the couple met for the first time on the day of “love,” Valentine’s Day. As it turned out, the meet-cute worked in their advantage. Jerry wanted to upgrade from boyfriend to spouse after being in a relationship for four years. They married on 14 April 2008 in the opulent Adare Manor.
The pair decided to marry in the Augustinian Priority of Ireland. Shannon had only been married for two years when another wonderful thing happened in her life: she became pregnant with twins.
She gave birth to her adorable children on January 1, 2010. Brady and Liam were the names of her twin boys.
Shannon’s husband is little known save for the fact that he is the CEO of Eye Tax Inc, a company that specializes in wireless camera systems. He has previously worked for Red Clay Developments. He has been working in his current job for a number of years.
The devoted husband and wife have been doing everything they can to raise the twins. Despite their hectic schedules, the husband and wife make every effort to spend quality time with their children.
Growing Up Children
Shannon’s two munchkins are growing quickly, and time is passing by.
On January 1st, 2019, the twin brothers celebrated their 9th birthday. The two boys were delivered seven weeks early and had to be held in the hospital for a few weeks before the mother and children were discharged.
Following the initial glitch, the twin boys’ health improved.
Shannon’s sons, who are now in their adolescent years, are seen accompanying their mother to her day employment. The sports anchor continues to post gorgeous family photos on Instagram. Fans are in awe of her adorable brood. People aspire to her long marriage and delightful children.
Triathlon and Sports Relationship
Shannon is also a big sports fan. She stated that she has always been interested in sports since she was a child. Her father, Southwest Captain Don Specht, was an Air Florida pilot.
Through athletics, the father-daughter duo formed a strong bond. She recalls that they watched a lot of football games.
The reporter enjoys swimming and is a competitive swimmer. Speaking of which, she has long been interested in participating in a Triathlon. She worked hard at it, around 2 hours a day for 6 to 7 weeks, to succeed at it. She completed her first Triathlon in the time she had set for herself, 1 hour 38 minutes and 7 seconds.
She has participated in numerous triathlons since then and aspires to compete in an international class triathlon someday.
FOX’s Return
Shanon Spake returned to the Fox network for the 2016 college football season. After years of working for ESPN, she has returned to the network. The senior journalist worked as a sideline reporter for college football, basketball, and as a pit reporter for the NASCAR Race Hub studio.
Shannon Spake: NASCAR Race Hub Co-Host
Shannon Spake, a former NFL Sideline reporter, has also been named the Co-Host of NASCAR Race Hub. She was assigned to the post when former Fox Sports broadcaster Danielle Trotta announced her departure in 2017.
Danielle had stated on Twitter that she was looking for new possibilities and was “eager to grow and conquer new challenges.”
Shannon, who has shone brightly at Fox News in recent years, co-hosted the show with Adam Alexander. Her past expertise as a host and reporter for ESPN’s ‘Nascar Now’ was mentioned as the reason for her current elevation.
While she happily assumed her post, she hopes to continue working as a sideline reporter for FOX Sports and even anchor the ‘NASCAR RaceDay’ program in the Nascar Xfinity Series.
Shannon’s Brief Bio
Shanon Spake was born in 1976 in Florida and reared there. She later graduated from Florida Atlantic University and began her career as an intern on Neil Rogers’ Miami-based radio show. FOX News stated that Spake has been hired as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball games, as well as a reporter for its NASCAR coverage.
