Pete’s father was a firefighter in New York City on September 11, 2001, and was last seen running into the Marriot Trade Center just before it collapsed. His bereavement was excruciating, and he later expressed his grief by acting out in school and occasionally getting into trouble. Michael graduated from Xaverian High School in 2012 and enrolled at St. Francis College, but after one semester, he dropped out to pursue a career in comedy.
