Pete Michael Davidson was born on November 16, 1993, on State Island, New York. Amy and Scott Matthew Davidson are Casey’s parents, and he is Casey’s older brother. Pete was brought up in a Catholic family. His father died when he was seven years old.
Pete’s father was a firefighter in New York City on September 11, 2001, and was last seen running into the Marriot Trade Center just before it collapsed. His bereavement was excruciating, and he later expressed his grief by acting out in school and occasionally getting into trouble. Michael graduated from Xaverian High School in 2012 and enrolled at St. Francis College, but after one semester, he dropped out to pursue a career in comedy.

The comedian suffers from Chron’s disease and has stated that he is unable to function without the use of medical marijuana. Pete was quoted as saying that he couldn’t work on SNL without it, but on March 6, 2017, he announced on Instagram that he had stopped using drugs. Later, he admitted on a podcast with Marc Maron that he still used marijuana on occasion, though he had drastically reduced his use.
