Furthermore, Ntare’s first play, Biro, is a one-man show performed on a bare stage. The play is about an HIV-positive former Ugandan rebel soldier who illegally enters the United States for treatment. It’s a 90-minute explanation to his lawyer from the titular character about how he ended up in a Texas jail. It premiered at Uganda’s National Theatre in early 2003.

In addition, the actor’s photographs have been displayed at the United Nations and the Latino Art Museum in California. Biro made it a central theme, and it was featured on Six Feet Under. His photography has also been featured in Vanity Fair.
