Nate Silver is an American statistician, journalist, and poker player who specializes in baseball, basketball, and elections. He founded and is the editor-in-chief of FiveThirtyEight, as well as an ABC News Special Correspondent.

Nate Silver is a well-known American personality. Following graduation, he began working for KPMG International Ltd as an economic consultant. He also began working at PECOTA since he was interested in baseball statistics. PECOTA was then sold to Baseball Prospectus, where he also worked as a writer. In 2003 and 2009, he co-wrote the MBL Baseball Prospectus.
