Michael Richards, who played Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld, is still remembered by fans of the program. Richards appeared in a number of films and television shows after the series ended in 1998, including David Copperfield (2000) and The Michael Richards Show (2000).
During the early 2000s, though, he was most recognized for his stand-up comedy. In 2007, a year after being caught on camera using racial insults, he declared his retirement from stand-up comedy. (Modafinil)
He has walked away from the spotlight since then and prefers to spend his time away from the public eye. However, in April 2021, Richards and his wife, Beth Skipp, made news after allegedly felling their neighbor’s 30-year-old trees.
Michael Richards and his wife were sued for chopping down their neighbors’ trees
On April 2, 2021, their neighbor, Maxine Adams, sued Richards and his wife for chopping trees on her Pacific Palisades property. The actor and his wife “maliciously cut mature Brazilian Pepper Trees and underbrush” on Adams’ property, according to TMZ.
Richards and Skipp, according to Adams, cut down her 30-year-old trees without her permission in order to “substantially enhance the value of their home by increasing their view to the pacific ocean.” Adams went on to say that if she wanted to restore the appearance of her land, she needed to plant smaller trees. And the new trees would take 20 years to reach the same height as her old ones.
The operation would set you back more than $62k. Richards was being sued for that sum, plus at least another $200,000 for the loss of aesthetic value to her home. Michael Richards and his wife, Beth Skipp Richards, have been married since 2002. The husband and wife have kept their relationship under wraps, and nothing is known about how they met.
Richards and Skip married in 2010 after an eight-year relationship. Antonio Baz Richards, their son, is their first child together. Richards and his girlfriend have kept their son out of the spotlight, just like their personal lives.
Antonio made his public debut at the Los Angeles International Airport in December 2013. In January 2021, their three-person family was caught taking a walk with their dog.
Michael Richards’ Racist Outburst
Richards has maintained a low profile since his racist rant in 2006, for which he has subsequently apologized, sparked a media frenzy. He was performing a stand-up routine at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood when he became enraged and yelled racial obscenities at a heckler.
On the episode Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee in 2012, Richards discussed the incident with Jerry Seinfeld.
He explained, “That’s a lesson I learnt… when I botched it in the comedy club.” “I lost my cool because someone interrupted my act and said something hurtful to me, and I retaliated with rage.”
Richards described his reaction as “selfish,” adding that the incident had broken him down. He also expressed gratitude to Seinfeld for publicly endorsing him.
