Plastic Surgery for Her Mother

Joan Rivers, the 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 meters) tall beauty’s mother, is known as the queen of plastic surgery. Joan had numerous cosmetic surgeries throughout her life. Steven Hoefflin, a plastic surgeon, treated her.

The interesting thing about her plastic surgery is that she never denied it and often made jokes about it.

Joan thinned her nose after her eye lifting procedure while in college. Joan made a joke about her plastic surgery, saying that after she died, she would donate her body to Tupperware.

Unfortunately, Joan stopped breathing during a minor throat procedure on August 28, 2014, due to severe complications. She was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital and placed on life support. Sadly, she died on September 4, 2014, after never waking up from an induced coma.

Melissa filed a malpractice lawsuit against the doctor who performed surgery on her mother on January 26, 2015. The case was settled for an unspecified sum.
