Melissa Ann Piavis: She Married Big Show in 1997; What Caused Her Divorce?

Melissa Ann Piavis was in the spotlight when she began dating Paul Wight, dubbed The Big Show. The pair married in 1997, but their marriage did not last long.

The Big Show has a passion for something other than his wife and marriage. His desire for something other than his wife hampered their connection. The show, on the other hand, has no regrets. The next essay explains what was so important to show that Melissa Ann Piavis didn’t even prioritize his wife.

Melissa Ann Piavis, The Big Show, and Her Ex-Wife:

Wight has been a professional wrestler for 25 years, having signed a contract with WCW in 1995. During this period, he was also with Piavis. On Valentine’s Day 1997, The Big How married Piavis.

They later had to split because Wight prioritized something else in his life over hers – his profession.

Wight had to make his debut on the same day as his second wedding anniversary in 1999. Yes, I’m referring to the 1999 St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, when he ripped out of the stage.

It is evident where their marriage went from there. He would always choose to be a wrestler over being a husband, no matter how much he loved Piavis. He went on to win the WWF championship in late 1999, only to lose it again in 2000. But that was not Paul’s only loss that year; he also lost his wife Melissa later that year.

They eventually divorced in 2002, the same year he kept his title.

Melissa Ann Piavis New Relationship:

Wight, alias The Big Show, has found love for the second time, but this time with a model. On 11 February 2002, barely five days after his divorce from his first ex-wife Melissa Ann Piavis, he married Bess Katramados.

From his marriage to Bess, he has two children. He also has a daughter from Piavis named Cierra Wight.

Wight was outspoken about his relationship as a WWE superstar, but his wife preferred a low-key life on the other side. That could be why she doesn’t appear in front of the media.

We first saw Bess at the WWE Hall Of Famer event in April 2015, and that was the only time we saw her.

In February of this year, the couple celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary.

‘The Big Show’ Bio in Brief

Paul Wight, who was born on February 8, 1972, is one of the most famous sportsmen in the sports entertainment sector. At the age of 19, he was a member of the Wichita State University basketball team, owing to his enormous height of 7 feet 1 inches. From 1992 to 1993, he attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

He is a seven-time WWF world champion as well as a member of the 11-time World Tag-Team Champions. He is also the only wrestler to have held the WWE, World Heavyweight, ECW, and WCW titles.

Wight earned the moniker “The Giant” due to his towering 7-foot stature. He was diagnosed with acromegaly, a disease that affects people who are extremely large until he was in his early thirties (a surgery halted his condition). Regardless of his situation, young Paul did his best to utilize the ailment as motivation.
