Ralph Macchio, an actor and producer, has been a Hollywood star since his adolescent years, thanks to his role in the Karate Kid films, which he will reprise for the Netflix series Cobra Kai.
It’s reasonable to say that Ralph Macchio has made an impact in the entertainment industry, and his children have taken it upon themselves to continue his legacy.
Relationship Status
As of this writing, Macchio has been married to his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Fierro, for over three decades. In January 2021, during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s show (via Heavy), the veteran actor remembered how he met his wife when he was 15 years old.
When Macchio and Fierro first met, it was in his grandmother’s basement for his cousin’s 16th birthday party. Fierro subsequently admitted that the first time she saw his “large, dark brown eyes,” she felt a connection. The couple would not, however, start dating right soon.
During the podcast, Macchio said that he had a number of relationships between the time he met Fierro and the time they married. On April 5, 1987, they married. In 2012, on their 25th wedding anniversary, they even reaffirmed their vows. The couple has two amazing children: Julia and Daniel, who were born after their marriage.
Ralph Macchio and his wife have two children together.
Fierro gave birth to her first child in 1992, and she and her husband received their son Daniel four years later, in 1996. Both of Macchio’s children, like their father, share a passion for the performing arts. Julia first appears in the film Girl Most Likely in 2012.
Caitlin in Stella’s Last Weekend and Tanner in Wholly Broken, both in 2018, are two of her most prominent roles. Julia also performs in front of a live audience in addition to the silver screen. Alex Owens’ Flashdance: The Musical featured the Hofstra University dance graduate as the lead.
More recently, the actress hailed the reopening of theaters following the pandemic with an Instagram picture. In the post, she included a photo of herself warming up for a dance in front of a mirror.
Daniel Macchio, her younger brother and Macchio’s son, is an actor and composer. He is renowned for his roles in films such as That Was Then (2011), The Wrecks (2012), and The Haley Project (2013).
Ralph Macchio is her moderator, according to her daughter.
During an interview with News@Hofstra, the up-and-coming actress revealed that her iconic father served as a source of inspiration for her. But it wasn’t simply his screen presence that inspired her. I admire how he conducts himself as a human being: he is always professional, always kind, always well-spoken, and always prioritizes his family.
She then went on to voice compliments for Macchio, who she referred to as her father. He always made sure that his children were grounded and motivated. He constantly pushed his children to achieve their aspirations by encouraging them to receive an education and giving them with adequate resources to do so.

“I always knew I wanted to handle myself as beautifully as he has,” Julia continued.
She was truly grateful to have a father who had always been her guide and advisor as a role model. Her father, she was reasonably persuaded, had instilled in her a strong work ethic.
