Messiah’s parents had a wonderful relationship for several years. However, due to a lot of hardships, their happy marriage began to show cracks. Tawant filed for divorce twice in 2009, claiming custody of all five children as well as alimony payments.

At first, Allen and Tawant pleaded with the court to dismiss the divorce petition. Messiah’s mother, on the other hand, was adamant about their separation. As a result, Tawant received $3 million in alimony when the divorce was completed in 2013.

Doctors suspected the Messiah was suffering from pneumonia at the time. They were, however, skeptical about it. Despite the fact that the exact reason for her illness was never revealed to the public, Messiah recovered successfully.

Messiah’s father rejoined his team after missing five games to be with her.
