Giselle Peacock began dancing when she was young, but for a different reason.

Giselle, a well-known dancer, was born in February 1981 and is believed to have lived in the San Francisco Bay area her entire life.

Peacock stated in a 2017 interview with Sydney Dance Company that she was inspired to start taking ballroom dance classes by seeing her parents enroll in a class. The performer claimed that the accessories were really what inspired her to pursue her career.

I began Latin dancing when I was around 10 years old, and at 14 I began traveling the world to compete. My parents started taking ballroom lessons, and I noticed another young woman there wearing high heels. I, therefore, understood that my parents would get me high heels if I started classes. In reality, it had little to do with dance.

As she grew older, Giselle developed her Latin dancing career and, by the age of 14, was traveling the globe to compete. Because Samba “is the fastest and most energetic of the Latin dances,” according to Peacock, it is her favorite.

In her early 40s, Giselle represented the United States twice in the World Championships and finished in the top three in “Ballroom/Latin DanceSport.”

Her professional dancing accomplishments include winning the 2000 International British Championships in England. Along with partner Genya Mazo, she also earned a second-place result at the Blackpool Dance Festival in 2001.

She is listed as a four-time US ballroom champion on the brunette’s Facebook profile.

Relationship Between Giselle Peacock and Her Ex-Husband Artem Chigvintsev

Peacock wed her ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev in 2004 but they only had a brief marriage.

Chigvintsev first met the Latin dancer at the Blackpool Dance Festival in 2003. They were both in their early 20s at the time. In 2010, the former informed the Daily Mail that shortly after, Chigvintsev took a flight to the US to accompany her to a wedding. The potential Dancing With The Stars contestant never booked a trip to return to Russia after that.

Peacock described her early relationship with Chigvintsev as follows:

We had a serious love connection. Since Artem had nowhere to stay, I brought him to my father’s house in California, where we shared a room and became inseparable. Within weeks of his arrival, we partnered up and began dancing.

The native of California claimed that Artem’s father had also agreed to sponsor him for a work visa so they could continue their study together. She explained how her future ex-husband had no money at all. She, therefore, supported him for the first eight months by paying for all of his food, clothing, dance lessons, and amusement.

Chigvintsev’s friendship with the American dancer gradually deepened once he began residing with Peacock. During that time, the couple started competing as a team on the American ballroom dance circuit. This continued for over two years. According to Dance Sport Info, between 2003 and 2005, the pair won five amateur Latin events together.

In a courthouse, Giselle and Chigvintsev exchanged vows in November 2004. A vacation wedding was picked by the champion ballroom dancer, who spoke to the Daily Mail about her preference. But she refrained from doing so because of concern that if Chigvintsev left the US, it could be difficult for him to return.

Why Did They Separate?

In the middle of the 2000s, Peacock and Chigvintsev’s relationship started to deteriorate. After the wedding, the ex-couple decided to try out for Dancing With The Stars (So You Think You Can Dance) in 2005.

The judges remarked on their synergy throughout their audition. Giselle told the camera that because “Latin dancing is very passionate, very romantic,” their close bond improved their performance.

But only Chigvintsev made it to the show despite the judges’ high praise. Peacock claims that it was then that their marriage began to fall apart. She claimed that during their connection, Artem, who is now 39 years old, underwent a significant transformation.

She detailed how he changed from being a cute, skinny Russian lad to one who developed an increasing obsession with achievement, celebrity, and money.

Giselle said to the Daily Mail that her ex-husband, a Russian, suddenly disappeared from her life over several months after becoming famous.

Artem never returned with me after I left for home. He essentially vanished from my life. He stopped returning my calls and didn’t even pick up his things from my dad’s place when he was supposed to. All I could manage to do in the end was leave him a message that said, “As you won’t talk to me, I thought I’d let you know that I want a divorce,”

Peacock cited AD’s account of Chigvintsev’s declining romantic interest in her and the couple’s eventual divorce.

After the divorce, the former So You Think You Can Dance contestant said she questioned whether Chigvintsev had married her for his benefit. She questioned whether he took this action to increase his chances of receiving a green card. As a result, Chigvintsev acquired American citizenship in 2014.

Has Giselle Peacock Married Again Since She Divorced Chigvintsev?

Following their divorce from Artem, Peacock wed guitarist Giorgio Rojas in 2010. Although it’s unknown, it’s assumed that the new couple met at work.

According to Rojas’ biography on the GPower Dance Fitness website, he is a “master percussionist” who has traveled the world with Burn the Floor.

On Facebook, the program posted a photo of the couple in 2014 as they were unwinding on a boat. Rojas, the now-husband of Peacock, was born and raised in Peru and began performing music at the age of three.

The Australian National University is where he also obtained his music bachelor’s degree. Additionally, and according to reports, the Hispanic man taught jujitsu at the studio run by his American wife. According to others, Rojas recommended Peacock settle permanently in Australia.

Giselle has two daughters with her Peruvian husband. Their second daughter was born in August 2017, while their first daughter, Xenia Lisa, was born in December 2015.

Has She Married Her New Husband Yet?

Peacock’s current love life is intriguing because Giorgio Rojas, the father of her daughters, and she haven’t been spotted together in public or on their respective social media pages for a time.

It certainly raises some eyebrows for some. Most people have questioned whether the American-Peruvian pair is still married or if they had previously divorced.

However, there are no such ideas or headlines to be found on the internet that would have otherwise indicated the situation with Giselle and Giorgio. In terms of Giselle’s ex-husband, Chigvintsev is now associated with WWE superstar Nikki Bella as his partner. They have a son named Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev who they had with.

In Australia, Giselle Peacock Runs A Dance Company

Peacock built up her dancing studio, named GPower Dance Fitness, in Naremburn, a northern suburb of Sydney, as soon as she left the television program Burn the Floor and moved to Australia.

Peacock provides a variety of classes at her business, including aerobic dance, barre, yoga, pilates, and body sculpting. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, she also attended online classes.

What Is the Worth of Giselle?

Analysts and the media have not yet given Giselle’s net worth a categorical evaluation. Ironically, Artem, the person she had helped support, has a net worth of over $6 million.

If nothing else, the former Burn The Floor star was probably once wealthier than her ex-husband from Russia because, as was previously mentioned, she used to support him financially when he was in need.

As of the present, Peacock’s financial situation is not replicated in a complex manner. However, if I had to guess, it might well be in the hundreds of thousands or perhaps million.
