On the NBC comedy-drama series Good Girls, Matthew Lillard played Dean Boland for four seasons.
Lillard’s Boland was a deceitful car salesman, husband, and father of four whose poor financial decisions drove his wife, Beth, into a life of crime.
But, despite being a husband and father, Lillard’s life is nothing like Boland’s.
The actor and his real estate agent wife, Heather Helm Lillard, have been married for 21 years and have three children.
He met his wife at a party in the late 1990s and was so taken with her that after learning about her friend’s wedding in Italy, he invited himself.
The couple married in 2000 and had their first child, daughter Addison, two years later.
Macey, their second daughter, was born in 2004, and Liam, their son, was born in 2008. According to reports, the family resides in Los Angeles, California.
Matthew Lillard’s Wife and Their Current Relationship
Lillard is a devoted father, but he and his wife do their best to keep their children out of the spotlight.
However, the actor occasionally posts glimpses of his married life on social media.
The couple will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary on August 7, 2020. Lillard paid tribute to his partner on Instagram, posting a series of photos from their relationship over the years.
The first photo was taken at a party with a group of friends, while the second was taken on their wedding day.
The final image was a more recent photograph of the couple.
“When you’re married to your best friend, 20 years goes by in a flash. Heather Lillard, you have my heart “The actor explained in the caption.
Every year on Valentine’s Day, the actor remembers to wish his wife.
In 2020, he shared a black-and-white photo of her and wrote in the caption that they had been together for 22 years.
And for Valentine’s Day this year, he posted selfies of himself and his life partner relaxing at home and on a trip.
“She is my spice, my sugar, and everything in between. I will always love you, my dear “In the caption, Lillard wrote.
Being a Husband and a Father: Matthew Lillard
The actor appears to genuinely enjoy a quiet life with his wife and children.
During an interview with POPSUGAR Entertainment in October 2012, the actor discussed his directorial debut, SLC Punk.
He also discussed his personal experiences as a father and husband. The actor stated that he enjoys being a father and considers himself to be a “good father.”
Similarly, he stated that he enjoyed being a husband and that he was a good one.
“Those guys who get married are like, ‘I can’t believe I’m doing this,’ but I was like, ‘Oh thank God,'” the Scream star added.
Lillard also mentioned his passion for independent films, though he admitted that they were not always profitable.
As a result, he was forced to make mainstream films, which he fortunately enjoyed equally and allowed him to “feed [his] kids.”
