While the world was shutting down due to the epidemic, Pat McAfee married the love of his life, Samantha Lundy McAfee.
But, happily, Pat McAfee remembered to include his followers in every important event.
The former NFL player took to social media to share snippets of his and Samantha’s path to becoming husband and wife, from the engagement to the bridal shower and, of course, the wedding day.
Pat McAfee- Getting Involved
Starting at the top, according to a tweet from McAfee, the couple got engaged on February 9, 2019. Fans, on the other hand, only found out about the engagement a day after it happened.
He tweeted that he had finally asked his partner whether she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him, and she had enthusiastically answered yes. The pair “both grinned, laughed, and sobbed a little bit” at the time.
The brilliant performer had reportedly chosen a magnificent setting to propose: a waterfall. In the photos that followed, he was seen kneeling in front of the waterfall. After the proposal, they had lunch right in front of the chopper that had brought them there.
On July 18, 2020, his fiancee, the soon-to-be Mrs. McAfee, uploaded a photo from the morning of her bridal shower, which marked the next step in their timeline. She said that sipping her coffee had made her “all mushy,” and that she was looking forward to celebrating their love with her family, new family, and friends.

Getting Married Legally
McAfee and Lundy were formally married four days after the bridal shower and became Mr. and Mrs. McAfee. Samantha commemorated the occasion with a snapshot of herself and her beau. The new wife proudly displayed her marriage certificate while her husband took a selfie.
While the wedding rehearsal is the next item on the list in terms of chronological order, the images from the evening didn’t make it on the internet until Father’s Day 2021, when the wife disclosed that she surprised her husband with official name changes for their three furbabies.
McAfee’s are the names of two dongs and a cat that the NFL player and his wife share. At the same time, the bride said that she was looking forward to the day when her husband became a father to a child.
Making a Knot
Going back in time, the pair married on August 2, 2020, in a magnificent wedding attended by many of their friends and family members. Of course, the bride couldn’t stop herself from showing off the wedding images over the next few days.
The bride wore a backless, sleeveless wedding gown with a flowing skirt decorated with flower designs, in case you were wondering. It’s hard to realize it’s been a year since these two became husband and wife. As of this writing, the couple had just celebrated their first anniversary.
The wife referred to McAfee as her “rock,” “best friend,” “forever roommate,” and “love of life” at the time.
