The beginning of Linkin Park

Linkin Park was founded by three high school friends, Rob Bourdon, Mike Shinoda, and Brad Delson. They all went to Agoura High School in California. After graduation, they formed Xero, which included Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, and Mark Wakefield.

After years of feuding and enmity, Wakefield and Farrell left the band. Linkin Park signed a deal with Warner Brothers in 1999, and the band released their seminal Hybrid Theory album the following year.

Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda (a founding member), and Rob Bourdon are all members of Linkin Park. Mike Shinoda, who is also a rhythm guitarist and a keyboard player, is the band’s lead vocalist.

Brad Delson is the lead guitarist and backup vocalist, while Rob Bourdon is the drummer. Joe Hahn, a synthesizer, and Dave Farrell, a bassist, are among the other members.

In March 1999, Xero hired Chester Bennington, an Arizona-based vocalist who was recommended by Jeff Blue, Zomba Music VP, after devoting significant resources to finding a replacement for Wakefield.

Because of the versatility of his singing style, Bennington, a member of the post-grunge band Gray Daze, became a champion among the contestants.

The band changed its name from Xero to Hybrid Theory at that point, and Shinoda and Bennington’s infant vocal science revitalized the band, prompting them to try something new.

Linkin Park was formed in 1996, but it was only after five years of struggle that they were able to break through. Most of the band’s members would leave if they didn’t agree with the band’s vision.

The founding members, on the other hand, had complete faith in themselves, believing that they would release songs that would pave the way for their success.
