The beginning of Linkin Park
Linkin Park was founded by three high school friends, Rob Bourdon, Mike Shinoda, and Brad Delson. They all went to Agoura High School in California. After graduation, they formed Xero, which included Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, and Mark Wakefield.
After years of feuding and enmity, Wakefield and Farrell left the band. Linkin Park signed a deal with Warner Brothers in 1999, and the band released their seminal Hybrid Theory album the following year.
Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda (a founding member), and Rob Bourdon are all members of Linkin Park. Mike Shinoda, who is also a rhythm guitarist and a keyboard player, is the band’s lead vocalist.
