Since at least 2010, Rabe and Linklater have been two of the best Shakespearean actors of their generation. That was also the year they were cast together for the first time, alongside the legendary Al Pacino.
Rabe was raised by a playwright father and an actress mother, but she was never forced to act. Rather, they tried to persuade her that acting was just one of many options available to her.
She appears to have inherited the acting gene, as she began singing and performing before graduating from college.
His parents encouraged him to pursue acting, particularly Shakespearean acting. He left Amherst College and began performing professionally.
The two would first meet because of her mother, Jill Clayburgh. Linklater was working on The Busy World Is Hushed with Clayburgh in 2006.
However, The Merchant of Venice, starring Al Pacino, was their first collaboration. Although Linklater had more Shakespeare experience, it was first-timer Rabe who stole the show.

Is Lily Rabe expecting a child?
In 2012, Rabe married her husband Linklater. As a result, the American Horror Story actress became a stepmother to Lucinda Rose, his previous marriage’s daughter with playwright Jessica Goldberg.
The couple has three children with Lucinda, with a fourth on the way.
Rabe and her husband welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2017.
They are expecting their second child in June 2020. Despite publicly announcing her pregnancies on Instagram, the theater goers have never revealed their names.
Rabe is still pregnant with her third child as of February 17, 2022. She announced her pregnancy for the first time in September 2021.
She has since posted pictures of her baby bump on several occasions, the most recent being on December 11, 2021. However, she hasn’t said anything specific about her pregnancy.
Their children have appeared on her Instagram a few times, but never with their faces visible.
