Lily Cole, the supermodel, came out as queer. In her book, Who Cares Wins: How to Protect the Planet You Love, she became public about her romantic tendencies.
The environment activist noted on one page of the eco-conscious book that we cannot choose the cultural norms and laws we inherit, just as we cannot choose the circumstances we are born into.
Then, in reference to her orientation, she stated that if she had lived in another country, her queerness would have been a crime. She went on to say that if she had been born in a previous century, the birth of her mixed-race daughter, Wylde, would have been a crime.
Cole also discussed her preference in an August 2021 interview with The Sunday Times magazine. According to the Torquay native, she is a private person who prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. She did, however, feel compelled to acknowledge her queerness. The attractive actress also said that she has a sizable LGBTQ circle of pals.

Cole is undeniably trying to shatter the stiffness that surrounds one’s tendency in a subtle way. In Portugal, she lives quietly with her business husband, Kwame Ferreira, and their kid. Ferreira and the writer married in 2012, and their only kid was born in 2015. Cole had established a Post-it Note agreement with her husband to split childcare 50/50 before giving birth.
She wanted both of them to take their daughter’s parenting seriously while also fostering equality in her home. But she had no idea that raising a child would be more difficult than she had anticipated.
Lily Cole’s Daughter
Cole was working full-time at Impossible, a company she founded from the ground up, when she gave birth to her daughter in 2015. The 33-year-old started the initiative in college, spurred on by her social activist instincts, but she had no idea it would come with such weighty duties. The start-up began to take its toll when she gave birth to her child. In February 2019, Cole revealed to Spear’s that it wasn’t playing to her strengths.
The multi-hyphenate also waxed poetic about how having a daughter taught her the importance of time. She needed to better manage her work week in order to spend more time with her child. The birth of her daughter had a seismic impact on how she thought about employment.
Cole noticed she was doing fewer things she valued and had lost touch with hobbies she treasured. In a nutshell, she became aware of herself while caring for her child.
