Lil Durk (born October 19, 1992) is a well-known American rapper from the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He is the lead member and founder of his own group and recording label, Only the Family, and has a long list of hit albums to his credit.
He’s gotten himself into a lot of legal wranglings and feuds. Even after all of this, his passion for music drew attention to him.
He shot to fame after his reaction to King Von’s death. Lil Durk captioned a photo of his friend Von on Instagram, saying, “My twin gone.” In addition, the rapper posted a photo collage of three friends to his Instagram Story.
A photo of Von, as well as two other members of the OTF family who died outside an Atlanta nightclub, is on display at the college.
His fellow Chicagoan, close friend, and contributor, the late King Von. Von was signed to Durk’s band, under which he released his breakout single “Crazy Story” in 2018.
Von, his collaborator, died early Friday morning in Atlanta on November 6, 2020. He was declared dead after being injured in a police-involved shooting. Later, the Atlanta police department denied that he was shot by an officer.
According to the officers, he was injured during an initial shootout between his group and other members of the group. During the shooting, two more people were killed.
