Leland Vittert- Early Life
Leland Vittert’s full name is Leland Hort Vittert, and he was born in Leland, Illinois, on August 31, 1982. Virgo is his zodiac sign. Carol and Mark Vittert have an older son. Liberty Vittert, Leland’s younger sister, has her own cooking show, Liberty’s Great American Cookbook.
Leland completed his secondary education in St. Louis, Missouri, before moving to the United Kingdom and enrolling at the London School of Economics. Vittert returned to the United States after earning his bachelor’s degree in major economics to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Chicago, Illinois.

Still, He soon moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where he joined KATV-TV, an ABC-affiliated virtual television channel. After that, he became a member of an NBC-affiliated virtual channel television station before moving on to another NBC-affiliated station.
Officer Bishop was falsely accused of rape, and the 38-year-old reporter and newscaster were nominated for an Emmy Award for her story coverage. He received the award for Best Hair on a TV Anchor in 2007.
He became a Middle East Foreign Correspondent for Fox News in 2010. He covered news such as protests against regimes and governments known as the Arab Spring in the Islamic world as a reporter for Fox News Channel. In 2011, he reported from Egypt on the Egyptian revolution. Following that, Leland covered the Battle of Misrata, where Libya’s ‘Brotherly Leader,’ Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, was assassinated in October 2011, after ruling the country since 1977.
In 2012, while covering Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza, the award-winning reporter ‘pulled’ an interview with Muhammad al-Zawahiri, a suspected Palestinian (potential) suicide bomber and brother of Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. He covered a variety of stories, including the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Ghouta chemical attack in Syria in 2013, and the shooting at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya.
