He experienced a lot of backlash after coming out because he publicly discussed his relationships with other men.

However, this isn’t always the case. Maybe there’s a 17-year-old who is contemplating suicide, and when he sees me, he thinks to himself, ‘Hey, maybe I can just be myself.’
