Tattoos by Molly Burke

Molly has about six tattoos to date, and she says she’s never had a tattoo without a meaning. Every tattoo on her body has a special meaning. She considers tattoos to be a form of art, and she enjoys using her body as a canvas. So, let’s take a look at her tattoos in the order in which she got them.

Her Very First Ink

Molly Burke got her first tattoo at the age of seventeen when she was still a teenager. She went straight to a large tattoo, whereas most people start with a small one. Molly stated that she wanted to feel her tattoo, so start with a small one to avoid the pain of a large one. As a result, she decided to go for the big one. Her first tattoo is two purple lotus flowers next to a sun with an eye on her back.

On the left, the lotus is blooming, while on the right, it is blowing away. Molly chose a lotus flower for her tattoo because she liked the phrase “No Mud, No Lotus.”

It simply means that a beautiful flower, the lotus, grows and blossoms on the mud all of its life until it is ready to flow to a better place. Molly can relate to it because she was bullied as a child and had to deal with a serious medical condition.

Moving on, the lotus on her right side is blowing away, indicating that she has let go of the past and is looking forward to the future. Molly chose the color purple not only because it is her favorite color, but also because it represents peace, calm, and healing.

She also has four brail letters that spell out Hope, Fight, Believe, and Strength. The sun symbolizes unity because we all share the same earth and the same sun, regardless of race, culture, or background. She is also known as Soleil, which translates to “sun” in French. The eye, on the other hand, denotes the higher power that watches over her.

Molly later added five additional birds to represent her family, including her brother, mother, father, self, and guide dog. The flying birds represent the fact that no matter what happens, the family will always be together.

Tattoo on Molly’s Wrist

When Molly was eighteen, she got her second tattoo. Molly’s second tattoo, unlike her first, was not planned. She and her coworkers decided they wanted a tattoo while she was away from home, so they googled the best tattoo shop near me and went to get one.

Molly prefers to get her tattoo in a spotless tattoo parlor. So, while she was looking through one of the two stores, she discovered that the first was exactly what she was looking for.

She called her mother just to let her know she was getting a tattoo before getting it. She chose Living Freely while she was pondering her options.

Molly’s tattoo represented her independent lifestyle at the time. It had been a year since Molly had moved out on her own. So, yes, it symbolizes her independence.

Phoned Three-Time For Tattoo

Molly was in LA and had a strong desire to get a tattoo. So she asked a friend to get some recommendations for her, which he dutifully did.

She called Melrose Tattoo in November of that year, but no one answered the phone. She called a few times, and on the third call, a woman answered and agreed to do her tattoo on a Friday night.

She got three tattoos, as previously stated. The first is a semicolon tattoo with a heart on top, which is hidden behind her ear. It represents her struggle with her illness. Rather than ending a sentence, writers use a semicolon to continue it.

A semicolon tattoo, on the other hand, represents her willpower to keep fighting despite her circumstances. The love above the semicolon indicates that you should pay attention to the love in your life rather than the hate. Her remaining two tattoos, one on each ankle, can be found there.

She has a Canadian flag on her left and a shamrock on her right. It symbolizes her nationality and denotes that her roots are firmly planted in the ground. Molly chose LA as the location for her tattoos because she intends to live there someday. She wanted to have a tattoo of her two homes on her future home.

Molly Burke and Her Mother Inked Together

If you’re a regular viewer of Molly Burke’s YouTube channel, you’re probably aware that she and her mother have a matching tattoo. Molly documented the entire experience on her YouTube channel.

The tattoo was done at the Ink & Water tattoo parlor. Molly and her mother planned the whole thing for a year and finally got a matching tattoo with her mother in June of 2018.

Molly got a bee tattoo to go with the one she already had on her wrist, which is linked to the one her mother has. She said getting a matching tattoo with her mother and being able to record the whole thing was a fun experience.

Poll on Twitter

On Tuesday, May 2, 2019. Molly announced on Twitter that she was getting a new tattoo and that she wanted her fans to vote on which one she should get.

There were four options to choose from, each with its own significance. The first was a Lemonade, which Molly requested because she makes lemonade from lemons.

The second was a Plam Tree, which symbolized her journey to Los Angeles, and the third was a Grapefruit, which is her favorite fruit. Last but not least, she had an elephant as her favorite animal. Obviously, the Elephant won by a large margin.

Molly didn’t know what tattoo she was getting until she voted, which was a lot of fun. She was kept in the dark until the very last moment, when the tattoo was completed and it was revealed to her that it was a baby elephant tattoo.
