Chai came to Australia with his mother and sister Sarah Romruen when he was seven years old to further his education. Chai discovered a liking for dance despite having a prospective future in sports. He trained under Travers Ross in 2007 and excelled in the art. He even received a scholarship at Brisbane’s DLDC School of Performing Arts.
