She began her YouTube channel in 2010, and after hundreds of videos over four and a half years, she was given her own cooking show, Laura in the Kitchen (2010-2018).

Joe Vitale, an engineer-turned-producer, is the television chef’s husband. On October 23, 2009, the couple married.
Laura began filming culinary videos as a result of her husband’s encouragement. She used to tell her husband that she wanted to have her own cooking show, according to pressofatlantacity.com. Joe persuaded her to start uploading videos to YouTube, and she reluctantly agreed.
Her videos were initially shot with a $49 point-and-shoot camera. Despite the low production quality, the movies were well received, and she improved after a few months.

He formerly worked as a project manager for L-3 Communications and an engineer for Tri-M Building Automation Systems. Drexel University awarded him a BSEE in Electrical Engineering.

Laura Pietrangeli was born in Naples, Italy on November 7, 1986. She and her family immigrated to the United States when she was 12 years old. Salvatore Pietrangeli, her father, owned pizzerias in Deptford and Camden, where she learned to cook.
