She worked as a speechwriter for the Reagan administration before moving into the media. Her first appearance in the media was on MSNBC, where she hosted the show Watch It!

Laura Ingraham isn’t immune to controversies.
When she worked as an editor for a conservative publication in college, she was the first to face criticism. She dispatched reporters to record the college’s little gay meeting, and she dutifully published the complete transcript of the secret meeting in the mid-1980s, identifying the students as gay.
In a 1997 Washington Post piece, the hardcore conservative acknowledged that her brother’s coming out as gay changed her attitude about the gay community.
She courted controversy when she criticized Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg on Twitter on March 28, 2018. However, after receiving tremendous criticism for her words, she was forced to issue an apology. Her unrelenting support for Donald Trump and severe attitude on immigrants has already earned her criticism from a variety of areas.
Apart from that, Karolina Wilson, her personal assistant, said she was harassed while pregnant. Wilson was Laura’s personal assistant, and he was in charge of the majority of her professional and personal tasks.
Everything was fine until Karolina got pregnant. That’s when things started to go wrong. Karolina claims she was fired on her first day back from maternity leave because she was not given the appropriate support. Laura and her company, she said, did not provide her with adequate amenities during her pregnancy. Karolina decided to sue Laura and her company, Ingram Media Group, as a result of this. Laura, on the other hand, has refuted such allegations.
The squabbles do not end there. Her own brother referred to her as a monster because of her anti-immigrant sentiments and staunch support for Donald Trump.
Curtis Ingram, Laura’s brother, has shown his displeasure with her sister’s viewpoints by publishing a series of tweets concerning Laura’s viewpoints. Laura’s views on immigration and immigrants have come back to haunt her several times as the story progressed. Laura believes immigrants have stolen employment and fuelled crime, but she hasn’t considered the fact that her own daughter is an immigrant.
