Kyrie Irving And Kevin Durant Both Shine As The Nets Win Against The Suns!

Despite key players missing a number of games, the Nets are gearing up to retain their top spot.

Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Blake Griffin, and others are among the team’s all-star players.  However, the number of games these players have played together is very few, and the Nets remain the Eastern Conference’s top team.

This demonstrates that the team is capable of succeeding even without any of its main players on the field.  Also, if all of these main players are safe and willing to play together, other teams will find it difficult to defeat them.  Today’s game exemplifies this.

Western Conference No. 2 Both the Phoenix Suns and the Brooklyn Nets are good rivals for the NBA Championship.  However, with Kevin and Kyrie playing together, as well as Blake Griffin, the Suns were unable to defeat the Nets. With solid shooting from Kevin and Kyrie, the Nets took hold of the Suns and won 128-119.

Phoenix Suns Started Strong But Was Not Enough

The Suns started strong in the first half, scoring 32-27 in the first quarter to take the lead. In the second quarter, Brooklyn was down five points to the Suns.  With 3:34 left in the second period, the Nets were down 56-43.

After that, Brooklyn went on a 16-5 run to finish the half with a two-point lead, 61-59.  Irving and Durant combined for 10 points during a 16-5 streak, with Irving hitting two 3-pointers during the spurt.

Suns coach Monty Williams said, “If we could have scored and gotten saves, we could have gone into halftime with a double-digit lead.” “Instead, we went into the game with a two-point advantage. That, I thought, shifted the momentum a little bit
The Nets then took command of the game in the second half, leading by 16 points at one point.  The Suns then trailed the Nets by five points to begin the fourth quarter, but the Nets went on a 16-5 rally, putting the Suns down 113-97 with 6:52 remaining.

The 16-5 Brooklyn runs were “huge,” according to Suns forward Torrey Craig.

“When we get a lead, we need to learn how to play with it better and how to hold it and stay composed. Those guys deserve credit. They put on a display. They made shots the whole game,” Craig added. Tonight, they were the superior team.”

Booker led all scorers with 36 points, three rebounds, and an assist.  Deandre Ayton, on the other hand, had a double-double with 20 points, 13 rebounds, and three assists. Torrey Craig, who came off the bench, had a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds.  For the Suns, Chris Paul had 14 points, four rebounds, and eight assists.

The Suns have now dropped back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant Both Shine

Kevin Durant returned strong on Sunday after missing the previous three games due to a bruised thigh, and he assisted Irving in defeating the Suns, the top team in the league. The Nets defeated the Suns thanks to a 67-point output from Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Kyrie began the game for the Nets and finished with a double-double of 34 points, 12 assists, and 6 rebounds. Kevin, on the other hand, came off the bench to score 33 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

Their chemistry and relationship shone in tonight’s game as well. Outside of the court, they are best friends, and on the court, they are great teammates. When one is playing, one should support the other.

And helping each other out while they’re both playing. This spirit helped the Nets defeat one of the best defensive teams in the league. Against the NBA’s fifth-best defense, the Nets shot 52.9 percent from the floor.

When Harden was out with an injury and Kevin was out as well, Kyrie did an incredible job of shouldering the load. Now, with Durant’s assistance, he’s easing up, and the two of them are sharing the responsibility of getting the Nets back to the top of the league.

The Nets Dominated The Phoenix Suns

With this victory, the Nets have now swept the season series against the Suns. Harden led Brooklyn to a 128-124 comeback victory over Phoenix in February after trailing by as many as 24 points.

Kevin and Kyrie have now combined for 67 points in a season sweep of the Suns. In addition to Kevin and Kyrie, Blake Griffin had 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in the 128-119 victory. Jeff Green and Joe Harris, on the other hand, each scored ten points. The Nets will play the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, while the Suns will play the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
