On 21 August 1986 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Asian Saint Leo Bolt, the world’s fastest man established his family name. Usain’s parents, Wellesley and Jennifer, raised him with strong beliefs and work ethics. He has a brother named Sadiki and a sister named Sherine.
While he was quick as a child, he gravitated toward cricket during his high school years. Following a few practices on the cricket field, his high school’s cricket coach encouraged him to pursue a career in track and field.
With a height of 6 feet 5 inches (1.96m) and a weight of 94 kg, he took up track-based sports and the rest is history.
