Ryan attended Neshaminy High School and was a member of the school’s football team, coached by Jerry Devine. Ryan’s true love affair with basketball began at Villanova University. He was a Villanova Wildcat from 2012 to 2016, during which time he helped the Wildcats capture a national championship as a senior.
He amassed nearly 1,500 points during his stint on the university squad under Jay Wright – a college career that was nothing short of a fairytale.
He declared for the 2016 NBA Draft following his time at university and was signed by the San Antonio Spurs.
Ryan is presently a member of the Chicago Bulls, having been signed on 25 July 2017. He was initially signed to a two-way contract that allowed him to play for both Chicago and the Windy City Bulls of the G League.
On 31 July 2018, he signed a conventional three-year contract with the Bulls.
