Ewan McGregor is someone who has remained out of the media spotlight for an extended period of time despite his enormous celebrity in Hollywood.
However, it appears as though things have shifted in the recent past. At the end of 2018, Ewan made nearly every tabloid’s front page by calling it quits on his 22-year marriage to Eve Mavrakis. It all started when Ewan was photographed kissing Mary Elizabeth Winstead, his Fargo co-star, in 2017.

Ewan McGregor and Eve Mavrakis tied the bridal knot for the first time in 1995.
The couple met on the set of Kavanagh QC, where Eve worked as a production designer. After a brief courtship, the couple married.
The couple welcomed their first child, Clara, shortly after their marriage. After a few years, the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Esther.
The couple adopted a four-year-old Mongolian girl named Jamyan in 2006, and their youngest child, Anouk, arrived in 2011.
With their four children, Ewan and Eve had the ideal family.
Additionally, with two decades of marital bliss, the couple was regarded as one of Hollywood’s most prominent couples.
Separation, or a New Girlfriend?
However, everything changed in 2017 when Ewan was seen kissing another woman during a hot dinner encounter. And the second woman in question was Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who played Scott Pilgrim in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
Ewan and Eve, however, were eventually discovered to have been separated for at least five months prior to that. Additionally, Mary divorced her seven-year husband in May 2017.
In January 2018, Ewan filed for divorce from Eve, effectively ending any chance of them reconciling. Ewan mentioned ‘irreconcilable disagreements’ as the cause for their separation in the divorce proceedings. Many assumed, however, that his bond with Mary was the true cause.
Even though Ewan desired to keep these matters private, he was unable to avoid the spotlight. Additionally, things became heated when Ewan’s daughter vented on social media about her father and Mary. Clara, Ewan’s daughter, shockingly referred to Mary as ‘a piece of trash‘ in an Instagram outburst.
Following numerous claims from the media and fans, there were rumors that Mary had broken up with Ewan, upset at being labeled a ‘homewrecker.’
Ewan and Mary, on the other hand, are still very much in love. The Star Wars star appears to be embarking on a new chapter in his life at the age of 48. Additionally, Ewan revealed in an interview with daily mail that he is much happier and more content with his partner, Mary.
Additionally, by moving in together, Ewan and Mary demonstrated that their relationship is more than a scandalous affair.
