His parents’ deaths were followed by the death of his mother just a month later. His mother had been suffering from Pancreatic cancer for several months before passing away on June 22, 2017, about a month after his father.
Kirk had a close relationship with his parents, which contributed to his mental health issues after they died. He suffered from depression several times because he was unable to accept their death in a matter of months.
Kirk’s close-knit family, which included his two brothers, helped them cope with the loss and move on with their lives. Not only that, but his wife and children encouraged him to look forward rather than back.
