Kerry Katona’s children, particularly her 14-year-old daughter Heidi Elizabeth, are paying a high price for her celebrity. In August 2021, Katona said Heidi was having trouble at school due to bullies in her weekly column for New Magazine.
After their family relocated to North Cheshire, Heidi enrolled at a new school. And, according to Katona, she made some nice friends. However, some of the lads at her school were cruel to her. They mocked Heidi about her famous mother and said “very crude things” merely because she was in the public glare, according to Katona. Heidi would return home in tears as a result.
The reality personality stated that having to deal with bullies made things more difficult for them. Katona revealed her intention to change Heidi’s school in another weekly piece for OK magazine a week after revealing her daughter’s brush with bullying. The 40-year-old stated she was “absolutely moving her out of that school,” claiming that schooldays are investments for the future. She also claimed that she was considering enrolling Heidi in the same private all-girls school as her older daughters.

Kerry Katona’s Daughters Getting Bullied For Their Mother’s Fame
Katona, a former member of the Atomic Kitten, has spent a lot of time in front of the camera. She appeared on a number of reality shows, including Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing On Ice, and I’m a Celebrity… I Have to Get Out of Here! Kerry Katona: Crazy In Love, Kerry Katona: Whole Again, and Kerry Katona: What’s The Problem? were among the MTV star’s reality shows.
While the shows gained her fame and provided her with financial assistance, they also exposed her fragility to the public — her drug addiction, bipolar condition, and disastrous relationships. Kerry Katona: Coming Clean, a 2010 documentary, detailed her drug addiction experience. Katona had to confess her dark background to her two older girls before they could witness it on television.
In an interview with the Hot Mess Mums podcast in August 2021, the Warrington native revealed the day she told her girls about her drug addiction, which they had no idea about. Because of her experience, she was aware that they could be abused and tormented by bullies. She wanted them to know that their mother was no longer engaging in such behaviors.
While Katona is open and honest with her children, she is aware that bullies make negative comments about them. She also mentioned in the same interview that she always told her children that their mother was not the one who was being criticized. She went on to say that all of the barbarisms had made her children stronger.
