“I had a lump. I had a double mastectomy that same March and I am two years cancer free now. So I guess Chrisley really does know best.”
She continued,
“If I had waited another year, [the odds] may not have been what they were.”
After undergoing a double mastectomy, the actress conducted additional research. She and Todd began to talk about it as well because it was their obligation as parents to ensure their children’s safety.
She also revealed the truth about Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer despite concealing her diagnosis. She elaborated,
“As women, we have that prerogative whether we chose to have a double mastectomy or the path she took. It’s not up to any other person when it comes to this. You have to educate yourself and do whatever you feel is best for you.”

Julie and Todd made headlines in August 2019, but not because of Chrisley Know Best, but for legal reasons. The duo was taken into custody in Georgia after they were indicted on tax evasion and fraud charges.
According to the indictment, the couple allegedly submitted false financial statements to get loans worth millions between 2007 and 2012. However, the Chrisleys pleaded not guilty and put the blames on a former employee.
And, that’s not all. Just a month before Julie’s husband was indicted for the tax and bank fraud charges, her daughter Lindsie claimed that Todd extorted her. Lindsie mentioned that her father used her sex tape to get her to lie.
She filed a police report against her brother, Chase, and her father for harassing and threatening her.
