Is John Yang Gay?

John Yang is one of several TV journalists who have openly admitted to being gay. He first mentioned it in 2003, while working for ABC, where John wrote in his profile that he was gay, as he was taking on the highly respected job of Jerusalem correspondent. Though people had known about John’s alternative lifestyle privately before, this was the first time he came out openly in public.

Despite his status as a television personality, John maintains a low-key approach to his personal space. His worldwide fan base is very interested in learning about his married life and has occasionally raised questions about his wife.

However, no matter how hard the public presses him, he refuses to reveal anything about his personal life, including his wife or children. Furthermore, he believes that discussing his sexual orientation in the media has benefited his career because people have gradually begun to accept alternative lifestyles, and being gay has stopped being a taboo and has become mainstream.

As of now, the veteran journalist is focused on taking his media career to the next level and has remained tight-lipped about his private love life.
