John Daly has earned every ounce of his “Wild Thing” moniker with his collection of eccentric clothes, penchant for life-destroying vices like gambling and drinking, and complete contempt for what others think of him.
When John Daly won the PGA Championship in 1991, he stunned the golfing world, but he has failed to sustain his form. In his dating life, Daly experienced a similar lack of luck. He has been married four times and divorced four times. With his fiancée, Anna Cladakis, the 55-year-old is preparing for his sixth wedding.
It’s the Fifth Time in a Row
During his divorce from his fourth wife, Daly met Cladakis in 2007 while working as a publicist for Hooters. Daly looks satisfied with his life since meeting Cladakis, and she was working as a promotional director at Hooters.
In 2014, the couple got engaged after taking their time. Cladakis, credited with taming golf’s erstwhile “Wild Thing,” helped Daly become healthier and change his ways. The golfer highlighted her beneficial impact on him in an interview with Corey McKernan.

He gushes about how she is one of his most devoted friends and helps him in every way possible, including negotiating with sponsors and scheduling his zoom interviews. When the interviewer asked Daly if he would have listened to her if he had been younger, he replied that he would have.
That is a fantastic question. But, thanks to the support, I feel I would. Anna was the only woman who tried to help me in the same way she did. Although the pair do not have children together, they both have children from prior marriages.
Marriages in Peril
Daly’s first marriage was to Dale Crafton, an Arkansas hand model, in 1987. Crafton and his wife relocated to Blytheville, Arkansas, Crafton’s hometown, to begin their new lives, but he rapidly felt bored and dissatisfied in the little town.
They split two years later after it became too much for them. Just two months after his divorce, Daly met his second wife, Bettye Fulford, and their relationship was rocky from the start.
He found out Fulford was ten years older than he thought and had a 13-year-old son, which caused them to break up. They did, however, reunite and marry in 1992.
The son of John Daly
Not long after, Fulford Daly, John Daly’s son, gave birth to Shynah Hale, John Daly’s daughter. The marriage did not last long after assault claims surfaced, and they divorced in 1995.
Paulette Doan, whom Daly had briefly dated while on a break from his second wife, was his third wife. After Daly’s divorce from Fulford was confirmed, he and Dean reconnected and married. Sierra Lynn, Daly’s other daughter, was born to Dean and Daly.
The marriage was just as difficult as the previous ones, and they split four years later. Daly later married Memphis native Sherrie Miller. Daly’s first and only son, John Patrick Daly II, was born to the couple.
However, after a fight in a restaurant in 2007, their marriage was strained, and they separated in 2010. The pro golfer’s failed marriages did not discourage him from seeking love, which he eventually found with Cladakis.
