Joe Budden is an American media personality and former rapper born Joseph Anthony Budden II. He rose to notoriety as a rapper and member of the hip-hop group Slaughterhouse after his smash song “Pump It Up” in 2003.
After a successful 15-year career in rap, Joe Budden retired in 2018. He recorded eight studio albums, six mixtapes, two collaborative albums with Slaughterhouse, one EP, and a slew of singles during the course of his career.
He’s now a successful broadcaster, with a well-publicized tenure on Complex’s Everyday Struggle as a co-host. He currently hosts The Joe Budden Podcast twice a week on Patreon and YouTube, as well as Revolt’s State of the Culture.

Tahiry Jose was a notable cast member on Love & Hip Hop: New York in Seasons 3 and 4. After the fourth season, she quit the show and didn’t return for several years.
She reappeared in Season 10 as a part of the supporting cast. In 2005, Budden and Jose began dating. During their partnership, they had two breakups.
Jose turned down Budden’s marriage proposal for the second and final time. Jose said that Budden attacked her during their relationship in an interview with Hollywood Unlocked in August 2020.
He was accused of verbal and emotional abuse, which escalated into physical altercations, she claimed. Budden, according to Jose, severely injured her, leaving her with a broken nose and a cracked rib.
In an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden rejected Jose’s claims. He called her a “cancerous poisonous liar” and said they were bogus.
Furthermore, he accused Jose of being aggressive and accusing her of abusing him. He went on to say that it was another man who shattered Jose’s nose, not him.
Joe Budden and Cyn Santana’s Serious Relationship
Budden and Santana began dating in 2016, and on December 15, 2017, they welcomed their son Lexington into the world. A year later, on a live episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden proposed to his fiancée.
Their engagement, however, did not last long, as they broke up in 2019 after only four months together. It was not a mutual decision to separate up. Santana, on the other hand, dumped Budden because of her mental health.
A phone conversation between them was released on the internet in September 2020, shedding insight on their relationship. The topic of co-parenting their son dominated the conversation, and at one point, Budden expressed his love for her.
Santana mentioned in the recording that she did not want to go down this road again. When Budden insisted on meeting in person, Santana said something unexpected.
She said that by meeting with her, the former rapper was attempting to pursue and drag her. Budden is taken aback by the accusation and defends himself by claiming that he never touched her.
Santana claimed that he was too inebriated to recall the incident. She also accused him of evicting her and Lexington from his home and refusing to pay her for child care. Budden frequently compliments her on Instagram, so the two appear to be on excellent terms.
