Jason Momoa Seems To Have Bodyguards But Does He Really Need One?

Ever imagined what Game of Thrones’ Dothraki warrior Khal Drogo would look like surrounded by bodyguards?

It would be a sight to witness, as Aquaman star Jason Momoa, who stands over 6 feet 5 inches (1.95 meters) and weighs over 200 pounds (91 kilograms), appears to be capable of self-defense.

Fans recall how the internet went bananas in January 2017 when they saw a viral photo of the See actor with two men escorting him. While that was not unusual, the men appeared to be rather small as they marched behind the hunk, which the internet found quite humorous. Momoa nearly seemed to be protecting them rather than the other way around.

The Image of Momoa’s Bodyguard Has Been Memefied

When the photo found its way onto the internet, meme-makers leapt at the chance to do what they do best: make fun of it. And with that, a pool of top-notch memes was created, ready to be shared.

Fans wondered if the two men in the photo were his real bodyguards, with Momoa claiming to be the one who looked like a bodyguard. One fan mentioned his wish to be so ripped that his professional bodyguards seem like “mini-bosses” that an offender would have to fight before getting to him in a tweet dated January 27, 2017.

Another Twitter user uploaded a made-up exchange in which Momoa swears to protect his bodyguards. During an interview with Men’s Health in November 2020, the 41-year-old actor reacted to one of those memes.

“If you ever feel useless in life, look at Jason Momoa’s bodyguards,” the meme stated.

Momoa felt sorry for the men in the photo. He described them as lovely and gentle gentlemen who escor him to various events.

Is Jason Momoa surrounded by bodyguards in real life?

In a December 2018 interview with Heatworld on YouTube, Jason Momoa revealed that he does not have a personal bodyguard. After reading a fan’s remark, “Why does Jason Momoa even need a bodyguard?” he replied, “I don’t have a bodyguard.” During certain events, though, he appears to be escorted by security officers or paid bodyguards.

Why Jason Momoa Isn’t Requiring Them

The explanation is self-evident: Momoa has a phenomenal physique. During an interview with Men’s Health in November 2020, he claimed that his body is fully natural and genetically produced. He maintains his fitness and strength despite not spending hours in the gym or adhering to standard strength training methods.

He described Hawaiians as “huge folks.” “I do a lot of rock climbing. Perhaps I’m an ape. As a kid, I used to like climbing trees and hanging in the breeze. Lifting weights, on the other hand, is difficult.”
