Before his family moved to Winchester, he was raised at Petts Wood for a short time. He began his education at Winchester’s The Pilgrims’ School, then went on to Montgomery of Alamein School and Frensham Heights School. Peter Symonds’ College was where he continued his studies.

His mother insisted that he get a job instead of majoring in theater in college. He then went into the catering industry and worked as a server. He got his first job at the Ritz.
