Issei Miyata is a supporting character in the I Want to Eat Your Pancreas series.
Personality
Issei Miyata appears to be calm, collected, and laid-back, as well as a slacker. When he is doing schoolwork or completing tasks, his laziness is exposed, which usually results in him being hit by Kyoko Takimoto. Miyata is a friendly person who has a gum obsession, as evidenced by the fact that he is always seen carrying a pack with him and offering gum to strangers, such as Haruki Shiga.
Miyata is frequently seen slacking off or joking around with his peers and classmates, most notably Haruki, as depicted in the movie.
Appearance

Story
While he and his class are cleaning the classroom, Miyata asks Haruki about his relationship with Sakura Yamauchi. He offers Haruki some gum while doing so. Haruki denies this, and Kyoko eventually shows up and beats Miyata for being a slacker.
Miyata is next seen at home, sitting in a chair when Haruki walks past him. He strikes up a conversation with Haruki, assuming he’s going out to meet Sakura. As a result of this, he supports Haruki before being amused by his younger siblings.
Conclusion
Kyoko holds a pack of gum and offers some to Haruki at the film’s conclusion, implying that she and Issei may end up together or begin dating.
