He is the son of Steve and Robin Corddry. Nate’s father, Steve, is a Vietnam War veteran.

Apart from his correspondent position, Nate pursued acting opportunities with guest appearances on television shows such as Guiding Light and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2003).
