Bryn Forbes’ lengthy court battle with his girlfriend over custody of his children came to an end when the two reached an agreement and Forbes was granted full custody of his sons.
Sons Are Entitled To Complete Custody
Bryn and his former girlfriend Raelynn Taylor reached an agreement in 2018 over Forbes obtaining full custody following a lengthy court battle in Ingham County Circuit Court.
The conflict arose after the couple’s acrimonious breakup in March 2017, when Bryn grabbed both of his children and returned to Texas without Raelynn’s permission.
Taylor attempted to convince the police to return Carter and Leo to her custody following Forbes’ departure to Texas with the children, but she was unsuccessful, and the couple filed for full custody in December 2017.
The dispute dragged on for some time, with both former partners arguing for full custody. Forbes contended that he was concerned about Taylor’s drinking, melancholy, and parenting abilities, while Taylor claimed he took the children without alerting her.
The case was settled in April 2018 when both parties agreed to give the NBA star full custody of their children.
As a result, their children Carter and Leo live with their father, and their mother is permitted to visit them 60 nights a year.
Ex-Girlfriend Relationship
Taylor and Forbes began dating in high school.
Although the pair never married, they pursued their relationship and had their first child Carter in 2013. Forbes was overseas at the time as a member of the Cleveland State University basketball team.
Forbes requested a transfer to Michigan State University shortly after the birth of their first child in order to be closer to his son and girlfriend.
The NBA talent signed with the Spurs in July 2016 after graduating from MSU. He did, however, reside in San Antonio at the time, while Raelynn did in Lansing. When Taylor became pregnant with their second child, the couple began experiencing difficulties in their relationship.
Taylor and her second son, Leo, were born in December 2016, and despite the hardships, Taylor relocated to San Antonio with both kids in order to make the family work.
However, things did not go as planned, and the two’s parents divorced in March 2017. Taylor returned to Michigan with both of their children following the divorce.
