Inside Lark Voorhies Personal Life Including Her Spouse, Mental Health, And More!

Lark Voorhies began acting at the age of 11 years old. In 1988, she was cast as Lisa Turtle in Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which was her first major role.

Lark Voorhies reprised the role in Saved by the Bell, making her one of the most well-known young actors of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Lark Voorhies starred in nearly 80 episodes during the length of the show’s four-year run, and she was expected to become an even bigger sensation after the end.

Voorhies, on the other hand, almost vanished after Saved by the Bell ended, contrary to popular belief. She had big appearances in Days of Our Lives (1993-1994) and The Bold and the Beautiful (1996), but it was her marriages and spouses, as well as her fight with mental health difficulties, that really put her in the spotlight.

Voorhies, Lark Married Thrice Voorhies married for the first time at the age of 22 in 1996. On March 9, 1996, she married Miguel Coleman, however the couple divorced after five years of marriage. Voorhies’ marriage to Coleman did not work out for unknown reasons, but it was thought that the relationship had taken its toll on her. In 2004, the actress and her first spouse finalized their divorce.

Andy Prince, whom Voorhies began seeing in 2006, is now her boyfriend. On May 8, 2007, a year into their relationship, the couple married in a small wedding ceremony.

Her second marriage, like her first, did not last long, and the two divorced after six years together. At a networking event in 2014, Voorhies met Jimmy Green, a music engineer, and the two began dating soon after. They married on April 30, 2015, and their union was thrust into the spotlight after Voorhies’ mother accused Green of using her daughter and obtained a restraining order against him.

Voorhies and Green’s interview with ET about the situation drew further attention because she seemed absent and incoherent during the conversation. Green and Voorhies both affirmed that he was not using her and that he would not harm her.

Voorhies, though, filed for divorce from Green just six months after they married. She later used Instagram to mock Green’s finances and bodily parts, but her account was eventually deactivated, with her representatives claiming that it had been hacked.

Schizoaffective Thought Disorder is a mental illness that affects people

When Voorhies appeared different from her typical self in a video she filmed with Yahoo! in 2012, it was assumed she was on drugs.

Lark Voorhies had been acting strangely, according to People, and would “often stop mid-sentence and stare off, often murmuring to herself or others who weren’t present.”

The mother of the Saved by the Bell actress said that her daughter has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Voorhies, however, refuted the accusation not long after her mother made it, claiming that her actions were the consequence of her strong spiritual sense and that she was simply engaged in times of prayer.

Speculations regarding Voorhies mental health persisted, and it wasn’t until she appeared in a February 2020 edition of Doctor Oz that she finally spoke out about it.

The actress disclosed she had been diagnosed with schizoaffective thinking disorder in the presence of her mother and physician. She explained that her mental illness made it difficult for her to express herself.
