Rick James was an R&B singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer who made a name for himself.
And, despite the fact that he passed away over 15 years ago, his legacy lives on via the millions of people that adore him around the world, as well as his children.

Rick James is the father of four children
James is the father of four children, two of them are daughters Tyenza and Rick James Jr., whom he had with former singer and composer Syville Morgan. He dated actress Linda Blair from 1982 to 1984 after his divorce from Morgan. He reached out to her after reading an interview in which she described him as sexy.
She fell pregnant shortly after they began dating, but the pregnancy was aborted. It was a decision that James regretted, and he detailed it in his memoir.
Linda was one of my favorite people, and it saddened me that she chose to kill our kid without even trying to talk to me about it first. I still regret her decision and ponder about our child and how that child might have impacted my life.
After meeting Tanya Hijazi in 1989, James began dating her. Tazman, their one, and only child was born to them in 1993. After six years of marriage, the couple married in 1996 and divorced in 2002. Trey Hardesty James, the famed musician’s other son, remains unknown, as is the identity of his mother.

Teena Marie Assisted in the Raising of Rick
Though it’s unclear when James and Teena Marie started dating, their relationship and frequent collaborations indicated that they were close. They were engaged for two weeks, and their professional relationship continued until 2004 when she published her album La Doa, which featured a duet between her and James called “I Got You.”
Marie and James, on the other hand, had a far deeper relationship, and she even reared his son Rick James Jr. She told the narrative of how she came to be in charge of Rick Jr.
Rick was a witty cat who couldn’t seem to locate his children. Cocaine is a very powerful substance… So his sister and I went in search of Ty and lil’ Rick… ‘I can’t take both of them!’ Rick exclaimed as he looked at me and penny. Listen, I can’t take both of them, so you’ll have to pick one… I’ll take the young lady. ‘I’ll take the boy,’ I replied.

Rick was taken over by Tyenza. After His Death, James’ Estate
Tyenza, James’ oldest daughter, is the estate’s president of his four daughters. Despite her father’s wishes for her to remain away from music, she experimented with it as well. Tyenza is the CEO of Stone City Brand in addition to looking after her father’s estate.
Tyenza is the mother of two daughters, Charisma and Jasmine. Charisma, the older of the two, is already the mother of two children, Harmony and Zy’aire.
