The One Tree Hill actress announced on Instagram on August 10 that her boyfriend, Grant Hughes, had proposed and that they were now engaged.
Sophia Bush raved about the proposal in a heartfelt Instagram post, calling it “the most beautiful, moving surprise of my life.”
In an Instagram post, her fiancé expressed similar feelings, saying he was looking forward to moving forward in life with BuRelationship Statussh.

And, of course, Bush’s friends and former co-stars congratulated him in the comments section. Mandy Moore, Bush’s co-star on This Is Us, said, “Congratulations lady!!!!” “Love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu “I’m ecstatic for you both.”
During a romantic stroll in Malibu in May 2020, Bush and Hughes were first seen holding hands and showing some major PDA. Both of them kept quiet about their relationship at the time.
Hughes, on the other hand, gushed about his leading woman in an Instagram post at the start of this year. He said they’d been friends for eight years and that the pandemic had finally opened his eyes to the fact that everything he needed had been right in front of him all along.

This will be the second marriage for the Chicago P.D. star. She was formerly married to Chad Michael Murray, her One Tree Hill co-star, from 2005 to 2006.
The actress stated in a recent interview on the Inside of You podcast that she would no longer be discussing her ex. Bush added that she had no ill feelings against anyone from her past, and that her first marriage was nothing more than the result of her being a naive 21-year-old youngster.

Hughes earned a summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma in 2005, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has degrees from Ljubljana University, Loyola Marymount University, and the University of Michigan.
Hughes co-founded FocusMotion Health, a Santa Monica-based business, in June 2013. They “develop data-driven orthopedic recovery solutions” for surgical patients, according to the organization’s website.
He served as the company’s chief strategy officer as well, but he appears to have left in November. Hughes, like his fiancée, is committed to giving back to his community and supporting important causes.
In addition to his charity activity, he organized a BuildOn fundraising to help build a three-room schoolhouse in Nepal and assisted at the Skid Row Carnival of Love.
Last year, he joined Bush at a Black Lives Matter protest, and more recently, he backed medical professionals and other critical workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 issue.
A quick glance at his Instagram account reveals that the entrepreneur enjoys traveling, as seen by the numerous images from his trips to Indonesia, Hawaii, Louisiana, and Canada. He enjoys running marathons and triathlons as well.
