Helen was born on September 20, 1970, in England, and spent her childhood there. When she was a flight attendant and Jocko was stationed overseas, they met in Bahrain.

Marrying Jocko, she claims, was an emotional experience since he treated her like one of his SEAL teammates when they first married.

She has given the public very little information about her childhood and parents. She has devoted her life to raising her children and overseeing Jocko’s business pursuits.

Their eldest daughter, Freja Willink, earned a degree in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley. Rana Willink and Thor Willink are two of her younger siblings. The youngest Willink sibling’s name is yet to be revealed.

When a Twitterati asked Jocko who his inspiration was, he replied that his wife and children were his motivation and inspiration. This does give us an indication of how devoted the Willinks are to each other.

Making Contact With Children

Despite being the most terrifying Navy SEAL ever, Jocko has written a children’s book series called Way of The Warrior Kid. When he realized there were no books to impart moral principles to his children, he was motivated to start the series. Jocko and Helen claim to have learned from life that as children grow older, they require more room.

You can steer them in the proper way but you can’t make them do anything. The more you push them, the more they will push back.

Helen reveals that their eldest daughter has a boyfriend who is constantly cheerful and joking except when Jocko is present. Helen is aware that Jocko had a brief conversation with his daughter’s boyfriend at some point, but she is unaware of what he said.
