In recent weeks, Alabama police officer Eric Fields has gotten a lot of attention for having an uncanny resemblance to Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. The Rock.
Fields have always been lauded for resembling the Jumanji actor in appearance. However, once the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office posted a photo of Fields on Facebook on August 21, 2021, the story received widespread attention.
The office clarified in the caption that a man called Tyler approached their sergeant and expressed his desire to meet the celebrity doppelganger. Fields simply met him and his coworkers at the Hartselle Walmart to fulfill his demand.
With their matching bald head, buffed body, bone structure, and — let’s not forget their tattoos — netizens couldn’t help but notice Field’s likeness to Johnson as soon as the photo went viral. The striking similarity of the lookalike is remarkable to behold.
The Reaction of Dwayne Johnson to His Look-Alike
On August 30, 2021, Johnson responded to his look-alike in the greatest possible way, tweeting a side-by-side photo of the two on Twitter. With matching grins and aviator sunglasses, they both appeared to be the same man in the photo. But it wasn’t the similar appearance that drew everyone’s notice. Johnson’s witty and sweet response in the caption was the real winner.
“Wow. The guy on the left is a lot more attractive “While admiring his doppelgänger, the famous actor cracked a joke. He also expressed gratitude to the lieutenant for his service.
Johnson intimated that they might meet one day at the end of his message. “We’ll drink @Teremana,” he said, “and I need to hear all your ‘Rock stories,’ because I KNOW you’ve got ’em.” Johnson’s liquor brand of small-batch tequila is Teremana. Celebrity doppelgangers for Cardi B and John Cena made the rounds on the internet just before Johnson.
Eric Fields and Dwayne Johnson each have tattoos that resemble each other
Surprisingly, Fields has the same circular tattoo on his left arm and chest as Johnson. Despite their similarities, their tattoos have different meanings. The 49-year-old actor’s tribal-inspired body tattoo is a tribute to his Samoan ancestry and triumphs over adversity.
His battle against adversity is symbolized by the sun and an elegantly crafted eye on his chest. Similarly, every other design serves as a reminder of significant events in his life. Fields’ tattoo, on the other hand, is more religious.
The spherical portion on the breast contains Hebrew text that reads, “What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are little matters in comparison to what resides inside us.”

The Hebrew line “Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords,” written from his breast to trap, then changes to “Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.” At the end of the sentence, he has fitting symbols of a Jerusalem cross tattooed on his body. Though their tattoos have different meanings, they appear to be the same, which only added to the rumors.
Fields, needless to say, went viral. So much so that word of his similarity to the actor made its way to Johnson’s ears, causing the Hollywood heavyweight to reply to the internet craze.
