Warren has composed music for movies and a variety of vocalists since her ascent to fame in the early 1980s. Furthermore, her musical genres and styles are so varied that it’s impossible to believe they’re all by the same person. It’s perhaps one of the reasons she’s regarded as one of the most prolific contemporary songwriters of all time.

She has written nine number-one songs and 32 top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, to name a few. Not only that, but she also wrote two of the top 13 hits in the Hot 100’s 57-year history.

Warren has also been nominated for twelve Academy Awards and has won six ASCAP Songwriter of the Year awards, four Billboard Songwriter of the Year awards, two Golden Globe Awards, one Grammy Award, and one Primetime Emmy Award.

Her Debut Album Comes With Her Favorite Songs

Warren revealed how she came up with the idea for her album, The Cave Sessions, Vol. 1, in an interview with The Guardian earlier this month. The California native recalled writing songs for herself and always having something in the vault when someone requested a song. For Jerry Bruckheimer’s blockbusters, she wrote songs like I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.

She revealed that she had previously sent John Legend a song called Where Is Your Heart, which he recorded but didn’t release. As a result, she frequently left some of her songs unreleased. So she came up with the idea of releasing those tunes under her own name.

She told the journal, “Some of my best songs have yet to be heard.” “The beautiful thing about me singing is that no one ever says to me, ‘Wow, I wonder if I can sing that well.'”

Warren’s debut album includes songs by former clients including Celine Dion and Paloma Faith, as well as newcomers like G-Eazy and Ty Dolla $ign. There will be R&B, hip-hop, country, and Latin music, as well as her signature knockout ballads.
