Desmond Howard, the Super Bowl XXXI MVP, has been an ESPN college football analyst since his retirement in 2002.
The former NFL player, who describes himself as a “Michigan grad,” is modest about Desmond Howard accomplishments in the sport. Playing little football, I won a few awards. On Instagram, he writes, “I talk about football on TV for a living (and have won a few awards doing it).”
His family, on the other hand, is something he is quite proud of. When Howard is not talking about business, he frequently tweets about his sons on social media. He does, however, like to keep his wife and kid out of the public eye.
Desmond Howard is the father of three children.
After a successful career in the NFL, Howard retired in 2002. What’s the next important move in his life once he retires from sports? Marriage.
On May 31, 2003, he married Rebkah Funk. The couple has three children: Sydney, a daughter, and Dhamir and Desmond Jr., two males.
His youngsters are frequently seen on the former NFL player’s social media accounts. He can be seen there surprising his sons with a PlayStation 5 or simply spending time with them.
A Proud Father
The sports analyst isn’t afraid to flaunt his sons in front of the world. Howard released a video of his son Desmond Jr. winning an award on May 16, 2019, which happened to be his birthday, and he couldn’t be happier. He captioned his Twitter tweet with “#ProudFather” and “#HappyBirthday,” as well as the hashtags “#ProudFather” and “#HappyBirthday.”
Howard also makes an effort to be a good parent and has spoken on the importance of being a role model for one’s children. In a tweet, he even mentioned that cooking is one of his favorite ways to interact with his sons, referring to them as his sous chefs.
In the kitchen, one of my favorite places to connect with my sons is. I appreciate sharing my passion for cooking with children and creating memories in the process. Look into it. He hasn’t mentioned his wife or daughter in any of his posts.
Howard has chosen not to post about his wife and daughter on social media for unclear reasons. You can find a lot of posts about his business and hilarious videos on his social media, but there isn’t much about the women in his life.
Howard’s Wife was enraged by Scott Torgerson’s dead joke.
The football analyst’s wife was enraged by Ohio radio broadcaster Scott Torgerson’s joke in 2012. Torgerson had stated that he desired Howard, who used to play for Ohio State’s archrival Michigan, would be fired or killed so he could watch ESPN College GameDay once more.
Torgerson eventually apologized for his remark, but Rebkah was not satisfied. With a sarcastic “Thx for the ‘apologizes,'” she expressed her dissatisfaction.
